Sleepless in my sleep
Night keeps trudging along
Day doesn’t usher in a new song
Dreamless in my dreams
Too hard when they shatter
Too many pieces to gather
Aimless in my aims
The bridge to wide to cross
Too many coins to toss
Lifeless in my life?
No doubt as no chances ever taken
Never mended coz never broken.
