we are both MJ fans.. and every morning we used to listen to the RJ talking about the This is It Tour on 95 HIts FM... And every morning we would invariably start talking about what we like about MJ and our favourite songs.
My favourite song was and will always be Billie Jean... The beats. The voice. The lyrics.
Today when I saw the TV and heard people saying all these great things about him, I felt a lil bit of irritation. I really wanted to know what is the point now of saying all this when these same people ignored the man for so long.
The man made brilliant music and had the craziest style but people just kept looking beyond all of that concentrating more on the controversies that surrounded him. Maybe even me...
A friend of mine Kartik, put this up on his FB status and I am putting it up here...
there's some dude moonwalking on the moon tonight...!
There sure is...R.I.P MJ..

I know I cannot say much here! But it is a very heartfelt tribute!
he was the first singer whose name I learnt at the age of 4.
i doubt there is any kid(past present or future) out there who hasn't been at some point fascinated by and tried to imitate this man and his unique "break dance"!!
MJ you shall dance forever through our hearts and memories :)
R.I.P MJ
U bet!! I remember listening to Billie jean and spending hours trying to sing it.. n I am still trying!!
I wish he had done his last tour.. I wish he had known that there wre millions who still went crazy listening to his music...
it hurts to think that the 02 comeback tour is not happening. it hurts to think that there's no longer anyone who can do the moonwalk [posers can go to hell]. he was a part of my childhood. and that part, like my childhood, is gone.
:(
annachronism put that really well. i can't say i appreciate being told to go to hell, cuz i worked hard to learn the moonwalk as a kid :) but i can understand the sentiment..
i got a forwarded email about some american soldier in iraq who was pretty cheesed off at the reaction MJ was getting from america in his death.. i sent a reply, even though the soldier, if indeed it was a soldier who wrote it, is never likely to read it. you can check out our lil exchange on my blog http://daspeak.blogspot.com when you get the time :)
@da: i need a live performance of tht moonwalk da.. i mean it!! :)
@zephyr: haha.. find me a black fedora hat and a shiny glove, and i might come outta retirement for you :)
